How are tin cans made?
How are tin cans made? | Nice-Can Manufacturing Co., Ltd

1. Most of the tin cans are made of iron sheet / steel sheet. The tin sheet is coated with tin to make the iron sheet a printable and bright surface. Tinplate can be supplied in rolls and then cut into thin slices or thin slices

2. Then use conventional ink printing to print it. The printing process is flexographic printing. Here, a roller is used to pick up the ink and apply it to tinplate. After 2 to 4 processes in the printing process, the printing is completed The tinplate is heated in a baking room to "dry" the ink so that it is printed on the tinplate. Sheet metal can be printed in 4 colors or spot colors. You can print up to 3000 sheets at a time.

3. Once the tin is printed with one or more designs, apply the final varnish to the tinplate, which may come into contact with food / products. Therefore, food safety tests and other tests must be passed. Then, the lithographic iron sheet is cut from the sheet and stacked for production.

4. Use a box-type mold to perform stamping on a stamping machine, or weld molding on a seam machine to make the flat printing plate into the shape of a tin can. After the jars are made, they are washed and packed into cartons for shipping around the world.
